Black silk faille evening gown; portrait roll collar; short kimono sleeves; stitched puckered faille bodice; plain faille full circle skirt; ankle length. Worn with matching belt. Belt is disintegrating. -

Dark brown wool jersey dressing gown; crescent shapes in metallic thread woven into fabric throughout; pointed collar; long sleeves with 3.35 inch turned-back cuffs; lined at front edges and collar with red wool jersey; very full; floor length.
Worn by Lynn Fontanne. Donor was the niece of Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt. -

Dark green tulle hat; silk net veiling pulled over frame; pink rose buds, roses, and green leaves on the high rise front. Worn by Hildegarde. -

Black stitched straw braided hat; low crown; six inch wide brim, brim doubled back at edge; crown lined in crepe; no hatband. Worn by Hildegarde. -
Handkerchief
Black chiffon and lace handkerchief; center is chiffon (12 inch square); 6.5 inch lace borders; 25 inch square. Probably used by Hildegarde in performance. -

White and blue printed silk crepe evening gown; large stylized chrysanthemum print; slim silhouette; cap sleeves; broad shoulders; cut-out section in bodice, held together by beige marquisette; draped skirt with slit; silk at shoulders has been repaired and lined. Custom made for Hildegarde and used as a performance gown in the Persian Room of the Plaza Hotel, New York City. -

Silver lamé evening gown; plunging V-neckline; heavily padded shoulders; batwing sleeves, zippers at wrists; three open-ended darts at bustline; empire waistline with red beaded lace over cream netting, same trim on lower sleeves; center back zipper closure; inverted box pleat from waistline down; skirt slit below knee; rounded off hemline; front skirt has short overskirt with rounded edge; back skirt has godet at center back for flare, forming a train. Performance gown worn by Hildegarde. -

A. Mauve silk charmeuse evening gown; trimmed in burgundy silk velvet at neckline and armscyes; plunging neckline at front and back; sleeveless; bias cut; mermaid silhouette; unlined; ankle length. B. Burgundy velvet belt; lined with mauve silk charmeuse; ties at side.
According to Sister Aloyse Hessburg, this gown is a copy of the bronze gown by Chauvel (2012.01.51.AB). This gown is attributed to "Cafe de Paris in London by Ilene Adair."
