  • Gray wool flannel dress; jewel neckline; sleeveless; seam going down center front, forms into box pleat; 2 princess seams that come down into waist and form box pleats, one princess seam starts at shoulder and other starts at middle of front armhole; 3 horizontal seams; one goes through center front seam and is located right under bust, extending from center seam to first princess seams on each side; other horizontal seams are side seams that extend .5 inch from armpits and go to first princess seam closest to side of garment; center back zipper closure that forms into box pleat; 2 back princess seams on either side of zipper, these also form box pleats; knee length. The donor, Sharon Lipinski, constructed this dress in Sister Aloyse Hessburg's Couture class.
  • Purple double knit dress; oversized funnel collar; plain short sleeves; fitted through torso; insets and style seams front and back; flares out below waist to knee length; center front seam, side seams, and zipper closure at center back seam, with hook and eye closure at neck.

    The donor, Lois Perlewitz, constructed this dress in Sister Aloyse Hessburg's Couture class.
  • Burgundy crepe evening gown; straps are lattice-like construction created with grosgrain ribbon and crepe; midriff construction is same as straps; straight skirt with slit at center front; invisible side zipper closure; hook closures at bodice; skirt lined in acetate; bodice lined in self-fabric; ankle length.

    Designed by the donor, Jan Carter Osterholm, a Mount Mary alumna, while working for Andrea Polizzi.
  • Light gray wool knit sheath dress; V-shaped neckline; seven V-shaped inserts of self-fabric cording; left side zipper closure; sleeveless.

  • Magenta wool crepe cocktail gown; bateau neckline at front; 45 covered buttons with loops running diagonally from right front shoulder to hip line; sleeveless; back has asymmetrical neckline and back detail; ankle length; white stains near hem.

  • Peacock blue plush knit pile evening ensemble. A. Gown; V-neckline; long bishop sleeves; empire waistline; center front zipper closure; light blue silk crepe bodice, gathers into shoulder yoke; Peacock blue knit pile A-line skirt; floor length.

    Worn with jacket (Object ID #2010.11.01.b) to form two piece ensemble.

    Note from Sister Aloyse Hessburg: "Blue knit pile fabric by Borg Textile Group, a Wisconsin industry. They challenged the senior class in 1970 to create garments 'for a winter evening' using their fabric. Christee selected this fabric (at that time the most flexible of their line) and used the silk fabric bodice and lining of silk crepe. The fur closure hooks were the only available on short notice. (Industry would have had time to get correct size and color.) In a way - industry and Mount Mary College were promoting the possibility of using Borg Textiles to the Wisconsin public."
