Rendall’s Westgate Mall.”; the shoe described is shown largely, along with a small woman in the top right; the woman wears a white button-up shirt with a notched lapel, a plaid shawl with fringe trim, and below the knee pencil skirt; measures 4 inches wide by 6 5/8 inches tall.

Werner - Silversmiths and Electro Platers listing items purchased by Sister Aloyse Hessburg for the mother-of-the-groom dress she designed and created for Mrs. Frances Howard Robb, for the wedding of her son Charles Robb to Lynda Bird Johnson, daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson, at the White House on December 9, 1967.

    This invoice refers to the 4 buttons for the dress that Sister Rosemarita Huebner created. The invoice is dated 11/24 (1967) and according to Sister Aloyse's notes, the buttons were ready by 11/28.
  • An invoice from W. Morton Brown, Inc. - Milliner's Supplies and Ideas listing items purchased by Sister Aloyse Hessburg for the mother-of-the-groom dress she designed and created for Mrs. Frances Howard Robb, for the wedding of her son Charles Robb to Lynda Bird Johnson, daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson, at the White House on December 9, 1967. Besides the dress, Sister Aloyse created the matching hat.

    According to this invoice, $25.86 was spent on a hat form, ribbons, beads, thread snaps, gloves, and shoes.

Jacket; polished tricot brown and black floral vest and trim attached as embellishment on jacket extending to back, shawl collar, slight shoulder pads, long set-in two-piece sleeves, sleeve back is floral tricot, patch pockets on chest with buttoned flap, center front closure of four buttons, buttons are silver tone with similar floral motif in khaki and black, lined in taupe taffeta. B. Pants; contour waistband, center front fly zipper, slash single welt pocket in front, long narrow legs with zipper in back, eight buttons on each leg up the side seam from the hem, unlined.

  • Itinerary for a five-day trip in August 1975 to visit fashion manufacturing plants in the Midwest. Stops included the Stanbury Band Uniform plant (Brookfield, Missouri), the Allen-A plant (Piqua, Ohio), the Sand Knit plant (either Waupun or Berlin, Wisconsin, or possibly locations in both towns), and the "sox factory" (possibly Portage Hosiery Company) in Portage, Wisconsin. Members of the Mount Mary College (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) fashion design program undertook this trip.
  • Navy blue wool bouclé cardigan jacket; jewel neckline with one large covered button closure at the neck, center front opening is formed with the selvedges, two diagonal single welt pockets, drop shoulder sleeves with gussets. Sleeves are cut on the bias. Swing style slightly longer at center back, hip length. Unlined, hand finished. Worn by Valentina.
  • Dark brown wool crepe swing jacket; Chelsea collar with multiple rows of topstitching, drop shoulder sleeves with double gusset, buttonhole opening through collar with bias tube tie closure, two tiny slash pockets, inverted pleat at center back. Multiple rows of topstitching down center front, hemline, and at back yoke. Reversible. Worn by Valentina.

Discoloration at center front closure.

  • Teal blue suede jacket; cardigan style; mandarin collar; turn-screw closures; square-set armhole with top-stitching.
  • Orange leather jacket; cardigan style; standing collar; turn-screw closures; body and sleeves made up of leather patchwork with pinked edges.
  • Hot pink canvas blouson jacket; leather drawstring closure threaded through gold toggle eyes at neckline and waistline; double-stitched shaped pocket; leather binding throughout; lined in pink plush.
