Blue wool wrap skirt; abstract shape appliqués on center front made of crepe blouse fabric, black and white checked fabric, and abstract floral print in black, orange, pink, and purple; appliqués bordered by olive green leather trim with pinked edges; two interior hook and bar closures. -

Black and white wool bouclé blouson jacket; diagonal piecing across body; unusual patternmaking with no shoulder or upper sleeve seams; standing collar; black ball button closure; elasticized bottom band at waistline; appliqués on right sleeve; dolman sleeves.

Dress
Black rayon dress with faint cheetah print; V-neckline; armholes have raglan seams reaching into the upper portion of the neckline; thin self-fabric ties hanging down from top of neckline to waist, knotted at ends; embroidery detail along raglan seams, 1.5 inches wide showing an even floral pattern in off-white thread; in the middle of each floral is either a gray or purple detail; 3/4 length sleeves with roll-up cuffs and gold trim down sides; matching gold trim along side seams; patches of various patterned fabrics outlined in gold-yellow trim on right front side; top patch has nature print in light green, purple, and beige on black ground with gold stitching details; middle patch is a golden and black zig-zag print with gold stitching details; bottom patch has polka dot print in white, gold, red, and blue on black ground with black stitching details; pockets on both front sides; label: "Koos van den Akker New York den haag". -
Skirt without blouse
B. Red linen weave rayon skirt with floral and block print cotton apron; narrow apron is oval shaped; bright yellow geometric stitched hip panels; stitched-down loose panel in back reveals cotton printed and stitched panels; red waistband.
Worn with blouse (Object ID #2004.03.09.a) to form two piece ensemble. -

A. Multicolored day dress; wool knit solid black bodice; wool twill skirt with multicolored large scale nature print; image of large flowers in pink, coral, and orange with black centers, light and dark green leaves, yellow and light purple butterflies, and black and white birds with orange wings, all on a dark purple ground; skirt has 1.25 inch wide black cord piping trim down the side seams and around hem; bodice has long sleeves, bust darts, and 1.75 inch wide turtleneck; sleeves have 4 inch long vertical zipper closures on inner cuffs; center back has 22 inch zipper closure, which begins below turtleneck.
Worn with coat (Object ID #2025.02.08.b) and belt (Object ID #2025.02.08.c) to form three piece ensemble.

A. Multicolored day dress; wool knit solid black bodice; wool twill skirt with multicolored large scale nature print; image of large flowers in pink, coral, and orange with black centers, light and dark green leaves, yellow and light purple butterflies, and black and white birds with orange wings, all on a dark purple ground; skirt has 1.25 inch wide black cord piping trim down the side seams and around hem; bodice has long sleeves, bust darts, and 1.75 inch wide turtleneck; sleeves have 4 inch long vertical zipper closures on inner cuffs; center back has 22 inch zipper closure, which begins below turtleneck. B. Wool twill coat in matching fabric; long sleeves with 1.25 inch wide black cord piping trim at cuffs; matching trim goes around hem, shoulder seams, collar seam, and down center front opening; 1.75 inch wide mandarin collar; 6 black cloth covered button closure that are hidden when coat is closed; center back and armhole princess seams; label reads: "Donald Brooks". C. Wool twill and leather belt; 2 inches wide; wool twill is matching fabric to dress and coat; tan leather back; exaggerated square buckle covered in self-fabric; 3 holes.

Black polyester lace evening gown; jewel neckline, large black sequin flowers sewn to edge; deep V-neckline in back to waist; large bishop sleeves, cut in one with bodice; cuffs covered in large 4-petal black sequin flowers; bodice, sleeves, and skirt have floral motif of black sequins with rhinestone in center; full skirt gathered at waistline; fastens at waist in back; front bodice is lined in doubled black crepe; back bodice is unlined; skirt is lined. B. Black silk satin ribbon belt; snaps onto a bow with 2 long streamers.

Black lace over pink crepe evening gown; ace motif of circles in modern style; Bateau neckline; long sleeves; bound in black satin with ball and loop closures at wrists and back neck; high waistline; A-line pink silk crepe underdress; center back zipper; not lined; floor length. The black lace has been cut to tunic level - this probably isn't original since there is no hem. -
