Evening gown
Charcoal gray silk kimono-style evening gown; red and orange shapes running vertically from armscye to bottom of skirt (likely a batik process); 3/4 length sleeves with turned-back cuffs; slits at lower edge of skirt; attached scarf flows from neckline; long skirt.

Aqua silk peau de soie cape; lined in silk broadcloth; floor length. Worn with evening gown (Object ID #1981.23). Performance ensemble worn by Hildegarde. -

White floral silk screened day dress; pattern is squares with wide range of colored stemmed flowers; rounded neckline in front; sleeveless; twenty and one-half inch long hand-overcast center back concealed zipper; straight silhouette; double inverted pleats on either side from waistline; plain white silk panel down center front and back. C. Narrow green silk belt; backed in leather; leather is brittle and has broken into three pieces; buckle with matching keepers. Exclusively for Bullocks Wilshire. Worn with coat (Object ID #2004.03.48.A) to form three piece ensemble. -

Jacket; long and fitted; notched collar; long revers; set-in long sleeves, self-button closure at cuffs; set-in pointed front lapels; three graduated-size self-covered buttons; center front hem has seven inch long cut-away to reveal vest underneath; seven inch long center back vent; lined in beige silk crepe. Inspired by an eighteenth century gentleman's frock coat. B. Skirt; very slim; bias bound slash pockets and slim skirt with bias bound slash pockets; zipper on left side. C. Putty colored silk jacquard vest; pattern of gray, beige, and brown leaves; shawl collar; seven self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes; fitted; pointed center front; watch pocket on right side; back is plain putty colored silk, underlined in matching silk; half belt with pewter colored metal buckle. -
